SUBSTANCE: invention relates to molding device and method of molded article production. Pressing element is configured to press section to be pressed, sheet of continuous fiber to recessed surface of first mold in state, when sheet of continuous fiber is arranged between first mold and second mold. Pulling element is configured to bring sheet of continuous fiber in close contact with main surface and recessed surface, pulling section of continuous fiber sheet, located on outer peripheral side of section, which must be pressed, after pressing member presses section to be pressed, to recessed surface.

EFFECT: invention provides a molded article containing a sheet of continuous fiber, in which a stepped section or an indented or projecting section is formed, and reduces formation of folds, et cetera in continuous fiber sheet.
