FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly dentistry, morphology, histology, and can be used for morphological examination of dental enamel within the surface layer in atomic power and inverted microscopes. Proposed method comprises step-by-step and sequential grinding on grinding-polishing machine "Neris" with grinding circles "hermes". At that, grinding is carried out with rounds of grain size of 100 micron with cooling with distilled water, polishing 0.5 mm of surface layer of enamel, then, it is grinded by grinding circle "hermes" with granularity of 65 micron with cooling with distilled water, grinding 0.5 mm of enamel, by controlling the removed layer of enamel surface with the help of calipers. It is followed by polishing on a grinding-polishing machine "Neris" using polishing circles Akasel. At that, polishing with usage of polyethylene polishing circle with diamond suspension Akasel 15 micron for 2 minutes, cooled with distilled water, polished using a polishing wheel of cloth with a diamond suspension Akasel 3 micron for 1 minute, cooled with distilled water, then polished using polishing wheel from plush with diamond suspension Akasel 1 micron for 30 seconds, cooled with distilled water under jet for 2 minutes. Then the preparation is dried using propane burner at temperature of 36 °C for 3 minutes, after which preparation surface is treated with 37 % orthophosphoric acid H3PO4 for 3 seconds and washed under a stream of distilled water for 2 seconds. Final drying of the preparation is carried out using a propane torch at temperature of 36 °C for 2.5 minutes.

EFFECT: improved preparation of dental preparations for morphological and morphometric studies of microstructure and enamel ultrastructure in atomic-strength and inverted microscopes, which enables to study the pattern of prisms and inter-prism intervals on the entire polished surface of enamel, but within one surface layer of enamel.
