FIELD: medicine; dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular dentistry, and can be used to study the morphological structure of tooth cement. The method of manufacturing dental preparations for morphological studies of the cement structure in an atomic force microscope is carried out as follows. After extraction, the tooth is fixed with the possibility of cutting through all sections of cement from the neck to the apical. Next, using a diamond disc with a diameter of 20 mm, a cut is carried out with distilled water cooling and vertical separation of the tooth is carried out. The resulting tooth fragment is placed in a cartridge placed on a horizontal surface, cut down and filled with two-component epoxy resin for 24 hours. Then the resulting drug sanded on the machine "MR-1BGrinderPolisher" with distilled water cooling with “Dexter” grinding wheels with a grain size of 1000 grit for 2 minutes, while grinding 0.5 mm of the preparation, and with a grain size of 1500, 2000, 2500 grit for 1 minute each, while grinding another 0.5 mm of the preparation, control of the surface layer to be removed the preparation is carried out using a caliper. Next, the drug is cleaned in an ultrasonic bath for 1 min, then polished on a grinding and polishing machine "MR-1BGrinderPolisher" using a flannel polishing wheel with diamond paste W3.53000 grit for 2 min with distilled water cooling. After that, polishing is carried out on the “MR-1BGrinderPolisher” grinding and polishing machine using a polishing wheel made of plush with Akasel diamond suspension of 1 micron for 1 min. Then the drug is cleaned in an ultrasonic bath for 2 minutes, dried using a cellulose cloth until visible traces of moisture disappear, the surface is etched with 37% orthophosphoric acid for 15 seconds, washed under a stream of distilled water for 15 seconds and the surface is finally dried using a cellulose cloth.
EFFECT: possibility of morphological examination of the cement structure in various parts of the tooth is achieved using an atomic force microscope under accurate and objective control of grinding the required thickness of hard tissues, which allows examining cellular and cell-free cement over the entire surface of the root part of the tooth.
