SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for use in mixtures for infants or young children. Composition for infants or young children contains partially hydrolysed protein and mixture of oils containing palmitic acid, esterified to triacylglycerols, wherein palmitic acid, esterified in position sn-2 triacylglycerine, ranges from 20 wt. % to 60 wt. % total palmitic acid, and palmitic acid, esterified in sn-1(3) triacylglycerine position ranges from 40 wt. % to 80 wt. % total amount of palmitic acid. Ratio of the partially hydrolysed protein and sn-2-palmitate ranges from 1.5:1 to 35:1 by weight. Disclosed is a children's mixture containing said composition, as well as use of said composition or infant formula.

EFFECT: invention enables reducing calcium excretion in an infant or young child, improving calcium homeostasis, improving calcium absorption and retention, reducing the formation of palmitic acid soap, softening the stool, lower risk of constipation, frequency and duration of crying, relieve discomfort associated with digestion of food in an infant or young child, and besides, the invention promotes increase of bone mineralization, strength of bones and/or increase of mineral density of bone tissue in an infant or child of younger age.
