FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to artificial nutritional compositions, especially to compositions of infant formula with low content of medium-chain fatty acids. Artificial nutritional composition contains medium-chain fatty acids, at least 98 % in form of triglycerides, in total amount ranging from 10.1 to 15 wt. % relative to total content of fats, hexanoic acid in amount of 0.05–0.5 wt. % relative to total content of fats; octanoic acid in amount of 1.55 to 2 wt. % relative to total content of fats; decanoic acid in amount of 0 to 1.8 wt. % relative to total fat content and dodecanoic acid in amount of 8.0 to 12.0 wt. % relative to total content of fats; as well as at least one long-chain fatty acid, at least 98 % in form of triglycerides, in amount of at least 15 wt. % relative to total content of fats.

EFFECT: invention enables producing an artificial nutritional composition for activating liver and/or intestinal formation in infants or young children and/or reducing the risk of liver and/or intestinal diseases in infants or young children.
