SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for use in a mixture for infants or young children comprising partially hydrolysed protein, ionic calcium and a mixture of oils containing palmitic acid, esterified to triacylglycerols, where the amount of palmitic acids, esterified in the sn-2 position of triacylglycerols, is at least 20 wt. % of the total amount of palmitic acid. Composition contains ionic calcium in an amount of at least 1.7 mmol/l. Invention also relates to an infant formula containing said composition and use of said composition or infant formula.

EFFECT: invention enables reducing calcium excretion in the above infant or young child, as well as improving calcium homeostasis, calcium absorption and retention, reducing the formation of palmitic acid soap, the risk of constipation, improving the quality of life of the infant and parents, besides, the invention allows increasing mineralization of bone tissue, increasing strength of bones and mineral density of bone tissue of an infant or child of younger age.
