SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fodder production, in particular, to a cat granule and a method for production thereof. Granule contains at least animal substance A containing endogenous fat fraction Fa; exogenous animal fat Fb; vegetable substance C containing endogenous fat fraction Fc. Animal substance A is selected from a group consisting of fresh meat, animal origin flour, whole egg powder, animal hydrolysates, milk or derivatives, yeast and their combinations. Exogenous animal fat Fb is selected from a group consisting of poultry fat, chicken fat, pork fat, mutton fat, fat derived from milk, beef tallow, fish fats and their combinations. Vegetal substance C is selected from a group consisting of rice, maize, wheat, milo, lucerne, barley, soya, chicory, peas, rye, sorghum, oat, manioc, potatoes, beans, carrots, beet, broccoli, butternut, cabbages, cereals, gram chickling, green beans, lentils, spinach, fruits such as apple, blueberries, cranberries, pomegranate, pear, tomato, blackberries or their combinations. Granule for cats contains at least 2.0 % of exotic fat Fb from weight of a granule for cats, where ratio R1=Fa/Fb varies from 0.7 to 2.5 and where ratio R2=(Fa+Fb)/Fc varies from 6.0 to 13.0.
EFFECT: use of the invention will make it possible to produce a product with a favorable taste attractiveness for cats.
