FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, to structures of electric apparatus intended for compensation of capacitive currents in electric circuits with insulated neutral line, which occur during single-phase earth faults, namely, to arc-suppression coils with smooth control of inductance value. Reactor comprises an actuator and an active part consisting of a winding and a magnetic conductor with a movable rod, which is configured to form a non-magnetic gap of a variable value. Actuator comprises a connecting rod articulated with a crank and a movable rod, and is configured to communicate a cyclic reciprocating motion to the movable rod at unidirectional rotation of the crank.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increase in the reliability.
