FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technologies for separation of solid and liquid phases, in particular to devices and methods of use thereof for separating suspensions by filtration, and can be used for purification of natural water, domestic and industrial waste water, extraction of minerals, extraction of bottom sediments from various reservoirs. Geotube is made in the form of shell 1 elongated along longitudinal axis of filtering material with inlet port 3 for supply of treated aqueous suspension. Inside shell 1 there is at least one container 2 made of elastic water- and gas-impermeable material. Container 2 is configured to supply liquid and / or air therefrom under pressure and drain therefrom. Pulp is pumped into geotube through inlet ports 3 located in shell 1. Elastic container 2 is empty and occupies minimum volume inside shell 1. Filtration process begins, when the material from which shell 1 is made detains solid fractions, allowing the liquid to escape outside. After shell 1 is filled with pulp, elastic container 2 is filled with liquid medium, for example, water. Filtering process is accelerated by increasing pressure inside shell 1. Water discharge from shell 1 releases appropriate volume for next pulp pumping cycle to shell 1. Depending on the pulp type, said cycles are repeated several times. After filling with solid fractions, geotube is either buried or cut (dismantled) and its dehydrated content is transported to the place of further processing or recycling.

EFFECT: creation of a geotube, by means of which it is possible to efficiently dehydrate pulp with organic components, which, as a rule, are present in natural reservoirs.
