FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to metallurgy and can be used to improve the quality of long articles, in particular rods from structural and tool steel. Technical problem – improvement of the products quality – is solved by the fact that the production method includes preparation of long-length billet, its straightening, induction heating, thermoplastic deformation, hardening, induction heating to tempering temperature, cooling and dimensional cutting. Thermoplastic deformation is carried out in roller drawing dies adjusted to the required diametric size of the workpiece, and quenching and tempering of workpieces are performed with the help of sprayers, heating temperature is specified. Line for production of long products comprises in-series installed device for preparation of long-length billet, a straightening device, a heating unit for quenching, a deformation device, a hardening device, a first drawing machine, a heating unit for tempering, a cooling assembly, a second drawing machine, unit for high-speed dimensional cutting, roller table and device for stacking.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a developed nanosized structure of long articles.
