FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing wire by drawing using formation of nanostructures in metal, including in its surface layer, and can be used in production of high-strength heat-strengthened steel wire. Method includes uncoiling a rolled wire, straightening, first induction heating of wire to 1,000 °C, its thermal-deformation hardening, post-deformation curing, hardening, second induction heating to tempering temperature, cooling and coiling in bundle.
EFFECT: preventing breakage and improved strength characteristics of wire are ensured due to that, thermal-deformation hardening of wire is carried out by its rolling in-series installed rollers with total deformation degree up to 80 % and with deformation degree in last one of which is equal to 15–20 %.
