FIELD: image forming devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to display devices. Device comprises a determination unit configured to determine whether the display panel is in low brightness mode and/or in low ambient illumination mode, wherein first brightness of display panel in low brightness mode is less than first predetermined brightness threshold, and second brightness of ambient environment, where display panel is in low ambient illumination mode, is less than second predetermined brightness threshold, a tuning module configured to switch on the eye protection mode when determining that the display panel is in a low brightness mode and/or in low ambient illumination mode, wherein in the eye protection mode, the brightness of the color component causing harm to the user's eyes on the display panel is further reduced relative to the low brightness mode, a recording unit configured to record a first duration of time during which the first brightness is less than the first predetermined luminance threshold, and/or a record of a second duration of time, during which the second luminance is less than a second predetermined luminance threshold.
EFFECT: high efficiency of protecting the eyes of a user.
