SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. Pneumatic tire comprises tread section (1), lateral sections (2) and bead sections (3). Tread section (1) includes plurality of main grooves (11–14), including central main groove (12) passing in direction along tire circumference, and pair of shoulder main grooves (13, 14) passing in direction along circumference tire, and plurality of running sections (21–25) formed among multiple main grooves (11–14). At least one running section (23) from plurality of running sections (21–25) includes multiple ground-engaging grooves (34A) extending from corresponding main groove (14) and ending in running section (23). Ground-engaging groove (34A) from the plurality of ground-engaging grooves (34A) includes a raised lower part (34D), the depth of which is less than the depth to the bottom of ground-engaging groove (34A) on the section on the side of its open end, and communicating section (34E), which passes in lengthwise direction of ground-engaging groove (34A) after the raised lower part (34D) and in which the depth is greater than the depth of the raised lower part (34D).
EFFECT: provision of good stability of steering control on dry and wet road surfaces at stable characteristics on wet coating at wear of pneumatic tire.
