MOWER WITH DEVICE FOR MECHANICAL ACTION ON STEMS OF MOWN GRASSES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A01D34/64 A01D43/10 

FIELD: agriculture; machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agricultural machine building. Mower comprises bearing bar 1 with discs 2 rotating in pairs towards each other with blades 3 hinged on disks 2 and vertically fixed on each disk 2 by vertical drums 4, 5, which are hollow truncated cones with different working elements. All drums 4, 5 are made identical in height and rigidly fixed on pairwise rotating disks 2, alternating each other. First drum 4 on the right in the movement direction of the mower is equipped with two beaters 6 rigidly fixed longitudinally on their surface and made of angular steel. Next drum 5 in its upper part is equipped with hinged U-shaped beats made of steel of round section ∅ 10–12 mm. U-shaped beats have two beat rods 7 and web 8 between them. Beats are installed in upper part of drums 5 diametrically opposite in parallel or perpendicular to knives 3 of disks 2 and are fixed hingedly behind webs 8 to side surface of drums 5 by means of bands 9 made of steel strip. Bands 9 are equipped with projections, the radius of which is larger than the radius of webs 8 of hinge beats. Radial projections of bands 9 provide deflection of beats when interacting with an obstacle during mowing and processing of grasses by an angle of up to 90°. Diameter of circle created by ends of beats at rotation of drums 5 does not exceed diameter of circle formed by ends of knives 3 of disks 2.

EFFECT: such design provides reduced degree of grinding of plant stems, improved supply of chamfered mass to treatment zone, reduced field losses of grassy mass.
