SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol-generating systems, to an aerosol-generating article and to a method for controlling stoichiometry of a reaction between nicotine pairs and vapours of a second substance. Aerosol generating system comprises an aerosol-generating article comprising two sources of substance, including a nicotine source and a second substance source, a current collector for heating any of the two substance sources; and a power source connected to the load circuit, wherein the load circuit comprises an inductor for inductive coupling to the current collector, wherein the two substance sources are in thermal communication such that the other of the two substance sources, which is not heated by the current collector, is made with possibility to be heated due to heat transfer from that of two sources of substance, which is heated by pantograph, wherein the aerosol-generating article comprises a cartridge comprising a first compartment containing a nicotine source and a second compartment comprising a second substance source, and wherein the current collector is located in any of the first compartment or the second compartment.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the creation of an aerosol generating system comprising a nicotine source having an improved heating mechanism, and providing effective stoichiometry of the reaction and preferably stable aerosol formation, and which is adaptable to compounds having different vapour pressures.
