METHODS FOR REMOVING IMPURITIES FROM HYDROCARBON STREAM AND THEIR USE IN METHODS FOR ALKYLATING AROMATIC COMPOUNDS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC B01J29/00 C07C2/58 C07C2/66 C07C7/13 C07C15/85

Abstract RU 2762825 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for removing impurities from a hydrocarbon stream, which includes stages of: (a) obtaining a part of an unprocessed raw material stream, where the specified raw material stream contains one or more hydrocarbons and undesirable impurities, wherein the specified impurities include at least one compound containing at least one of following elements: nitrogen, halogens, oxygen, sulfur, arsenic, selenium, tellurium, phosphorus and metals of groups 1-12, (b) obtaining protective layer material that contains zeolite having a permeability index of less than 3, and a mesoporous binder, where the specified mesoporous binder contains mesoporous metal oxide having a particle diameter at 50% of the cumulative particle size distribution (d50) greater than or equal to 20 mcm, a pore volume equal to less than 1 cm3/g, and an aluminum oxide content greater than or equal to 75 wt.%, in which a ratio of the weight of the specified zeolite to the weight of the specified mesoporous metal oxide is in the range from 95:5 to 5:95, where the specified protective layer material has one or more of following characteristics: (i) an alpha value is greater than or equal to 500, (ii) collidine absorption is greater than or equal to 600 mcmol/g, and (iii) temperature-programmable desorption of ammonia is greater than or equal to 0.70 mg-eq./g; and (c) introducing the specified part of the specified unprocessed raw material stream into interaction with the specified protective layer material under conditions of processing in order to remove at least part of the specified impurities and obtain a processed raw material stream containing reduced amount of impurities. The invention also relates to a method for producing a monoalkylated aromatic compound and protective layer material.

EFFECT: used material has an improved capability of adsorbing catalyst poisons.
