FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of multi-tier satellite systems (SS) for a continuous global review of the near-space with predetermined multiplicity and periodicity. Scope of view of the proposed two-tier SS is a spherical layer of the near-space. SS includes the lower and upper tiers, located respectively below the lower and upper boundaries of the specified spherical layer. Satellites are equipped with surveillance equipment with the same fields and range. Spherical layer is divided by the intermediate spherical surface into the upper and lower control zones so that the lower tier satellites survey the upper one, and the upper tier satellites – the lower control zone. Orbital SS construction is carried out from the condition of the minimum of the total characteristic speed required for launching satellites to their operating points in the orbits of both tiers.
EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a continuous SS global survey with minimal energy costs for its construction.
