FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of metal coatings, in particular, to solutions for contact copper plating of articles made from steel, and can be used in various industries for application on surface of articles from steel of copper coating, which plays the role of underlayer or decorative image, including art. Solution contains 5–20 g/l of copper sulphate, 50–120 g/l of sulfuric acid, 2–10 g/l of trilon B and water. Molar ratio of trilon B to copper sulphate in the solution is not more than 1.0. Solution can additionally contain tin salt 0.05–2.5 g/l, in terms of metal.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain smooth, compact copper coatings with good adhesion to steel, including when depositing in protective resisting windows and when producing decorative images of high quality.
