SUBSTANCE: invention relates to printed graphics, in particular to a method of making an etching plate. Method involves engraving pattern on metal base, having electrode potential more negative than electrode potential of copper, and coated with protective layer of copper or its alloy, deepening of exposed metal by etching, removal of protective layer, wherein recess of exposed metal is performed by etching in solution, not etching protective layer.
EFFECT: technical results of invention are simplification of pattern engraving and possibility of making printed form out of galvanized steel.
