FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of barium metaborate ΒaB2O4 (BBO) monocrystals, used in laser systems. Height of BBO crystal is carried out in precision heating furnace having high symmetry and stability of thermal field from high-temperature solution-melt, including barium borate ΒaB2O4 molten mass and a complex solvent based on a eutectic composition LiF-NaF with excess B2O3 from 3 to 7 wt %, on rotating oriented along direction [0001] primer, at crystal drawing speed from 0.15 to 0.4 mm/day with simultaneous cooling of solution-melt with rate from 0.3 to 1 deg/day.
EFFECT: increasing dimensions of BBO crystals and increasing the output coefficient while maintaining their optical quality.
