FIELD: instrument making; optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical instrument-making and can be used in optical devices and means of protecting organs of vision from powerful radiation. Method of nonlinear optical power limitation based on an aqueous suspension of carbon nanotubes involves passing a directed radiation flux in series through a collecting lens and an optical cell filled with an aqueous suspension of carbon nanotubes and placed in the focal point of the collecting lens. Optical cuvette is placed in a thermostat and the suspension temperature is maintained within range of 38–50 °C.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of threshold energy density of nonlinear optical power limitation in water suspension of carbon nanotubes.
