SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electrical equipment. Method for launching a percussion electric generator of a test bench containing network buses, to which, through switches, connected are a drive motor connected to a generator, and static frequency converter, consists in acceleration of generator with engine to network frequency and further connection of engine with network buses directly. At the beginning of the start-up, a converter is connected to both buses, the generator is connected to the test buses, excitation is supplied to it, the output voltage and frequency of the converter are smoothly raised to the rated speed of the generator, the converter is switched off and the motor is connected to the network buses.

EFFECT: simplified start-up operations and increased reliability of tests.
