FIELD: nuclear power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering, namely, to nuclear power plant. Nuclear power plant includes reactor 1 with circuit 2 of multiple forced circulation with turbine 3, network generator 4 with excitation system 8 and second generator 12, which is made asynchronised, wherein its excitation system 13 is made in form of a frequency converter. In case of serious accident, circuit 6 is switched off and reactor 1 is shut off. Turbine 3 with generators 4 and 12 switch to rundown mode lasting for several minutes. Excitation system 13 generates in generator 12 a rotating magnetic field which compensates for rotation frequency drop, thereby providing constant frequency and voltage on bus bars 7, which are necessary for operation of consumers 9, including main and nutrient centrifugal pumps, gate valves, etc., which improves reliability. Diesel generator 10 is started in 30–45 seconds.
EFFECT: increased safety of nuclear power plant operation due to provision of reliability of power supply to consumers of electric power station, providing its operation.
