SUBSTANCE: in one of the examples, the ignition coil temperature is evaluated, the estimated ignition coil temperature is updated based on each of the heat transfer from the engine to the ignition coil, internal resistive heating of ignition coil and heat transfer from external medium to ignition coil and charging ignition coil during energy accumulation time determined based on updated estimated temperature of ignition coil.
EFFECT: invention relates to methods for regulation of charging current of ignition coil.
