FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: use: for X-ray fluorescence element analysis. Summary of invention consists in the fact that proposed device comprises housing, primary X-ray source, primary X-ray beam former in the form of tape-type flat beam, sample-reflector for sample placement, reflector target holder, fluorescence detector and program-oriented control and data recording unit. Target-reflector consists of a flat base on which there is a system of parallel notches in the form of grooves for sample placement, which are oriented along the axis of the primary beam of X-ray radiation with provision of complete external reflection of the tape-type flat beam from the target-reflector. Grooves have finite dimensions, flat parallel side walls, the distance between which is not more than half the coherence length of X-ray radiation in the X-ray fluorescence excitation flow, are open to the fluorescence detector and are waveguides-resonators, in which fluorescence of sample volume is excited in field of standing X-ray wave. Holder of target-reflector is made movable with possibility of output beyond body for attachment of target-reflector with sample and fixation in specified position when entering body.
EFFECT: technical result is high selectivity, sensitivity and reduced limit of detection of chemical elements in the sample due to high radiation flux density, as well as shorter analysis time of the sample.
