FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tool production, namely, to laser recovery of tool steels, and can be used in production and repair of parts of tooling and tools, in particular, teeth of cutters. First, a wear-resistant powder material is applied on the pre-treated surface. Then its melt is carried out by movement of laser radiation relative to cutting edge with overlapping of surfacing areas on face of tooth and subsequent tempering at temperature of 560–600 °C in oil. After that, surfaced surfaces are sharpened and laser hardened with precise positioning of laser radiation focus on cutter tooth cutting edge without surface melting with subsequent application of titanium nitride coating.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of wear resistance of restored tool.
