FIELD: cutting tool production.
SUBSTANCE: method includes surfacing the cutting edges of workpieces made of 30HGSA structural steel with R2M8 alloy, followed by heat treatment, cooling and polishing. The blanks of disc knives before surfacing are collected in a package of at least 3 pieces, separating washers with a thickness of 0.5 to 1.5 mm are installed between the blanks, surfacing is carried out on the cylindrical surface of the package of disc knives with a thickness of 2 to 4 mm without pre-cutting the edges in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the workpiece, followed by heat treatment by triple tempering at a temperature of 525-550°C for 45-60 minutes. Then, polishing is carried out along the cylindrical surface of the package of blanks and the separation of the package of blanks by laser cutting. In this case, the final grinding of the knife is carried out on the side surface until the working shape of the cutting edge is formed.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and productivity are achieved through the use of a package of blanks and the possibility of producing at least three disc knives with the use of surfacing cutting parts in one cycle of operations, reducing the complexity of manufacturing by reducing the auxiliary time for installing and removing the workpiece.
