FIELD: image processing means.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to image processing device, image creation device and their control methods. Image processing device comprises a receiving means for obtaining an image signal comprising intensity information and incident light angle information, operating means for receiving a viewpoint change operation and a focus position changing operation and processing means for realizing, based on a plurality of images corresponding to viewpoints obtained based on the image signal, generating an image by changing the viewpoint in accordance with the operation of changing the viewpoint and changing the focus position in accordance with the operation of changing the focus position, wherein in case the image can be generated by changing the viewpoint in the horizontal direction or the vertical direction based on the image signal, operating device performs operation of change of viewpoint along horizontal direction or vertical direction, and when displaying, in vertical position, an image whose viewpoint can be changed in horizontal direction in horizontal position, operating device performs operation of change of view point in vertical direction. Image creation device comprises an image sensor, in which pixels, each of which includes a plurality of subpixels, are two-dimensionally arranged and which outputs an image signal, comprising intensity information and incident light angle information, based on signals output from subpixels, operating means and processing means, wherein in image sensor plurality of subpixels are assembled in predetermined direction in pixel, and in a case where an image to be displayed can be generated by changing the viewpoint in a predetermined direction based on the image signal, operating device performs operation of change of viewpoint in this predetermined direction. A method of controlling an image processing device is performed by an image processing device. A method of controlling an image forming device is performed by an image generation device. Image processing device also has a display apparatus for displaying a view indicating the direction of change of the viewpoint in accordance with the operation of changing the viewpoint, wherein the display device changes said representation in accordance with the direction in which the operating means performs the change in the view point operation. Image processing device comprises an operating device further performing operation of changing the degree of edges improvement in the image to be displayed, and a processing means which improves the edges with respect to the focused area in the image to be displayed in accordance with the degree of improvement of the edges. Image generation apparatus comprises a display apparatus for displaying a presentation indicating a direction in which a viewpoint changes in accordance with a viewpoint change operation, wherein the display means changes said representation in accordance with the rotation angle from the vertical position or the horizontal position in which the image signal is captured. Image creation device comprises operating device, additionally performing operation of changing degree of edges improvement in image intended for display, and a processing means which improves the edges with respect to the focused area in the image to be displayed in accordance with the degree of improvement of the edges.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions enables simultaneous performance of image display operations with a modified viewpoint and an image display operation with a changed focus position based on the plurality of viewpoint images.
