SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image pickup devices. Image pickup device automatically detects the focus (AF) of the optical imaging system using the signal received from the image sensor. Device comprises: a first acquisition means for obtaining first information regarding spatial frequencies during the process of generating image signals, and second information regarding spatial frequencies during the process of generating signals for the captured image; second collection means for obtaining third information regarding aberrations of the optical imaging system; means for correcting the result of the automatic focus detection based on the first, second and third information; and a focusing lens position control means in the optical imaging system based on the corrected result of the automatic focus detection.

EFFECT: technical result is the exact correction of the error when a focus is detected.
