FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering, particularly, to drying spent ion-exchange resins (SIER). Installation unit for drying spent SIER comprises sealed cylindrical housing, in upper part of which there is a blow-off nozzle and branch pipe for supply of spent ion-exchange resins inside the housing, and in the lower part there is a pipe for extraction of dried SIER, equipped with a shut-off device, external heater of housing, as well as driven shaft equipped coaxially in housing with possibility of rotation. Reverser is made in form of anchor mixer rigidly fixed on drive shaft, blade blades of the configuration follow the inner surface of the lower and lateral parts of the body and are located on the drive shaft above and below the attachment point of the anchor mixer of the upper and lower unidirectional screw coils. Lower part of drive shaft with lower screw winding is arranged coaxially inside branch pipe for extraction of dried ion-exchange resins. Drained pipe drain pipe SIER is equipped with water drainage device.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce time and power consumption of SIER drying process.
