FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer engineering. Decoder for decoding coefficients of video sequence blocks obtained from a bit stream comprises a scanning type list module for providing one or more predetermined scanning orders, a scanning order generator for generating one or more scanning orders, a scanning order switch for selecting a scanning order for each block from among the predetermined and generated scanning orders based on the scanning order information contained in the bit stream, decoding unit for decoding one or more coefficients vectors of each block from a bit stream, serial-parallel converter for inverse scanning of one or more coefficients vectors of said block in accordance with scanning order selected for said block to obtain matrix of coefficients, wherein the scanning order generator is configured to generate one or more scanning orders depending on one or more previously obtained coefficients of blocks of the video sequence.
EFFECT: encoding efficiency increase.
