FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of nanocomposite polymer materials with improved performance characteristics, namely to radiation-treated polymeric composite materials of antifriction and sealing purposes based on fluoroplastics. Preparation of polymeric nanocomposite materials includes machining of polytetrafluoroethylene powder, dispersion of nanoparticles, dosing of nanoparticles in concentrations of not more than 1 %, mixing of nanoparticles with polytetrafluoroethylene powder in a mixer. Next step is a preparation of the nanocomposite blanks from the resulting mixture. Resulting blanks are placed in a chamber where an oxygen-free environment is created. Preforms are then heated to a temperature above the melting point of the crystalline phase at a rate of no more than 60 °C/hour. Further, the processing of the nanocomposite billets with ionizing radiation-braking gamma radiation of a pulsed linear electron accelerator at an irradiation rate from 0–1,000 Gy/s, and the irradiation passes up to an absorbed dose of 0.5–500 kGy with a decrease in the product temperature during processing no more than 0.5 deg/10 kGy. After cessation of irradiation, the heat treatment is carried out in the heating/cooling mode in the temperature range from the crystallization of the treated polymer to 380 °C for normalization and stabilization of properties. Further, the preforms are cooled to room temperature at a rate of not more than 60 °C/hour.
EFFECT: invention provides the production of composite materials with improved physical and mechanical properties.
