SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics, gynecology, perinatology and clinical laboratory diagnostics, and can be used for diagnosing a fetus's central nervous system in urgent pregnancy accompanying gestational diabetes mellitus. That is ensured by sampling an amniotic fluid in the process of induction of labor on mature birth lines with a mouth opening of not less than 3 cm or in Cesarean section by puncture of a fetal bladder and suction of water through a needle placed on an injection syringe. Above sample is used to determine concentration of neuron-specific enolase by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and neuron-specific enolase concentration in amniotic fluid exceeding 4.9 ng/ml is used to diagnose fetal central nervous system involvement.

EFFECT: invention provides higher sensitivity and specificity of the study.
