FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to dentistry, and is intended for use in orthodontics. Self-ligating orthodontic bracket assembly comprises bracket body, ligature gate valve and connecting part. Bracket body has an attachment surface and a slot, wherein the attachment surface is configured to be adhesively attached to the dental surface, and the groove has an open shape to enable the wire arrangement along the denture direction. Ligature valve is installed with possibility of movement on bracket body to provide selective opening/closing of slot. Connecting part for retaining ligature gate valve is designed to prevent disconnection of ligature gate valve from bracket body. Connecting part comprises a pin element and a retainer, wherein the pin element is provided on the bracket body for placement in the ligature gate movement zone, and the retainer is provided on the ligature gate valve so as to enable the complementary connecting/disconnecting interaction with the pin member. Wire inserted into slot is made with possibility of selective reaching of binding and releasing action, by means of complementary connecting/disconnecting action of retainer and pin element accordingly to movement of ligature gate valve. Retainer can be installed on bottom surface of ligature gate valve, which faces bracket body. Retainer is made with flat spring element made as crimping ring to provide additional connecting/disconnecting action at elastic deformation by pin element accordingly to displacement of ligature gate valve. Retainer comprises a disc portion, a pair of floating plates and a pair of damping resilient ribs, wherein the disk part has a circular hole formed in the body made of a flat resilient piece, and a pair of floating plates protrudes and extends from the disk part so that the slot-like hole passing from the open one side of the round hole has the shape of a keyhole. Each of the pair of shock-absorbing resilient ribs is formed by arch-like elongated hole made as a deep cut to be connected to the other side of the round hole and a blade projecting inward from the boundary section between the round hole and the arched elongated hole.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to control manually by type of one touch operation of ligature gate valve for wire, which provides easy and convenient handling, as well as reliability and strength of connection.
