FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes three embodiments of an orthodontic bracket, relates to dentistry and is intended for use in orthodontics. Orthodontic brace, according to the first embodiment, comprises a body comprising a recess on an upper surface and a slot for a wire arc, a ligature element, a separate spring. Ligature element comprises a protrusion extending from the lower surface into the recess, wherein the said ligature element is movably connected to the body for holding the orthodontic wire in the slot for the wire arc when moving the ligature element from the open position to the closed position. Separate spring is located in recess so that force is required to move ligature element from open position to closed position. Recess comprises a spring portion formed by the first edge and a guide portion formed by a second edge. According to the second embodiment, the orthodontic bracket includes a first surface with a recess containing a part for a spring formed by the first edge, and a guiding part formed by a second edge; separate spring located in part of recess for spring; and a projection extending from the second surface into the recess next to the second edge. Bracket is made so that the separate spring is compressed by the ledge at movement of the first surface and the second surface relative to each other. Orthodontic brace, according to the third embodiment, includes a body, a ligature element, an orthodontic wire and a separate spring. Body comprises a protrusion extending from the upper surface of the body and a slot for a wire arc adapted to receive an orthodontic wire. Ligature element comprises a recess on the lower surface and is movably connected to the body for holding the orthodontic wire in the slot for the wire arc when moving the ligature element from the open position to the closed position. Separate spring is located in recess so that force is required to move ligature element from open position to closed position.
EFFECT: invention enables reliable retention of a wire arc without the need to use separate wire or elastomer ligatures and possibility of multiple applications for holding or bringing the ligature element into an open or closed position.
