FIELD: nuclear physics, nuclear technology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to means of generating radioisotopes. System for generating radioisotopes includes one or more containers, including a first container, the first container comprising a source material which includes at least one target material. System comprises a radiation generator and a radiation bombardment chamber for accommodating one or more containers. Injection component is used, adapted to move material for extraction into the first container, thus bringing material of the source inside the first container into contact with material for extraction. Material for extraction is selected for dissolution, without dissolving target material, one or more radioisotopes; invention provides an extraction component which enables to extract material for extraction with a dissolved radioisotope from a first container without removing target material from the first container.

EFFECT: high efficiency of the system for generating radioisotopes by eliminating the need for complete dissolution or destruction of the target before removing any radiation products through repeated use of the same physical target.
