FIELD: heating equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact stages of heat-mass-exchange devices for carrying out rectification, absorption and extraction processes and can be used in biotechnology, chemical, oil refining and other industries. Vortex contact stage consists of a ring, horizontal partition, overflow sleeve, contact branch pipe, device for swirling flow, consisting of top and bottom covers, profiled plates with plugs forming channels for gas (steam) passage. On bottom cover under each channel there is through hole for passage of gas (steam), which communicates gas cavity under horizontal partition with channel cavity. At ends of profiled plates there are flanges, bent along arc of circle, concentric arc of circumference of contact pipe, and forming channels for gas (steam) outlet from external side of swirling device and channels for gas (steam) outlet from inner side of device into liquid arranged on horizontal partition.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of mass transfer due to increased inter-phase contact surface and reduced non-aerated (stagnant) zones in liquid placed on the stage.
