FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of articles from composite materials, namely shells of revolution for power structures with external ring frame. Method of making multilayer shells of revolution with an external ring frame includes cutting workpieces from carbon-impregnated carbon fabric, the length of which is equal to the length of the shell generatrix, and laying workpieces on outer surface of carbon fiber inner part of carbon shell prefabricated from carbon fiber reinforced plastic. Technical result consists in production of monolithic structure of shell material and increase of its strength in zone of external annular frame. Technical result is achieved by cutting a batch of workpieces, the contour of which is a trapezoid, and a batch of workpieces, the contour of which is half trapezium with a side surface conjugated with the annular tongue, which width is equal to the width of the ring frame, encircle the shell at the ends of the marking tapes, during laying, first, billets of the first batch are laid in the circular butt-end direction, with overlapping of joints with subsequent billets of this batch, then, workpieces of the second batch are laid by shifting edges of workpieces relative to each other in a circular direction, at the same time edges of workpieces are matched with corresponding divisions on marking tapes. Use of the invention allows improving quality of production of multilayer shells of rotation with external ring frame, which is confirmed during practical use of the proposed method.

EFFECT: improvement of technological process of production of multilayer shells of revolution with external annular frame in order to improve quality of manufacturing, reduction of material consumption and volume of mechanical processing.
