FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nitrogen oxides accumulation materials, which can be part of catalytic trap used for treatment of exhaust gas streams, as well as systems and methods of their application. Trap-catcher composition NOx in conditions of a lean mixture, a washcoat type coating layer on a carrier substrate comprising a first substrate material containing more than 50 wt. % of recovered metal oxide, from 10 to 30 wt. % of alkali-earth metal oxide deposited on second substrate material containing heat-resistant metal oxide, and 50 wt. % or less of the reduced metal oxide, and a platinum group metal component supported on at least one of the first substrate material and the second substrate material.
EFFECT: invention provides improved accumulation and regeneration of NOx at low and high temperatures, as well as improved aging stable accumulation of NOx.
