FIELD: chemical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: present invention represents a three-way catalyst (TWC) suitable for at least partial conversion of gaseous hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxides (NOx). The claimed set of inventions also relates to a catalytic product for treating exhaust gas and to a method for producing said invention, a method for lowering CO, HC and NOx levels in the exhaust gas and to an exhaust gas treatment system. The catalytic composition comprises: a platinum group metal component which is impregnated into a porous carrier on the basis of a heat-resistant oxide and contains aluminium oxide, wherein the porous carrier on the basis of a heat-resistant oxide has an average pore radius of 300 Å to 1000 Å, total penetration volume of 2.0-2.3 ml/g and porosity of at least 85%.
EFFECT: technical result is development of catalytic compositions with improved catalytic characteristics and stability.
