FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst composite for removing nitrous oxide (N2O). Discloses a catalyst composite for removing nitrous oxide (N2O) for treating an exhaust gas stream of an internal combustion engine operating under conditions which are stoichiometric or depleted, with periodic time transitions to the enriched fuel mixture, wherein said catalyst composite contains: a catalytic material for removing N2O on a support, said catalytic material contains a platinum group metal (PGM) component supported on a carrier containing cerium oxide having a single-phase cubic crystalline fluorite structure, wherein the catalytic material for removal of N2O is effective for decomposition of N2O in the stream of exhaust gas to nitrogen (N2) and oxygen (O2) or for reducing N2O to N2 and water (H2O) or carbon dioxide (CO2), wherein the carrier containing cerium oxide has pore volume of at least 0.20 cm3/g.
EFFECT: technical result is efficient removal of nitrous oxide (N2O) under exhaust gas conditions.
