SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Disclosed is a mattress providing for phototherapy of a subject, as well as physically supporting it. Mattress contains a gel material and a set of light sources. Gel material provides a soft support surface and is optically permeable for therapeutic electromagnetic radiation. Set of light sources emits electromagnetic radiation, which can be selectively controlled and scattered through gel material on the subject.
EFFECT: effective wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation fall on a subject supported by the mattress.
