SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, in particular to an active marker device for insertion into human tissue, and systems for tracking an area of human body interest and medical imaging. Active marker device has a light source for emitting light such that the emitted light can be received by the optical sensor. Active marker device additionally contains a switch for switching on and off of the light source and for actuation of the light source in pulse mode.

EFFECT: thus, active marker device and/or area of interest can be tracked by tracking system containing optical sensor.
