METHOD FOR MODELING ACUTE PANCREATITIS OF VARIOUS SEVERITY IN RAT Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2709220 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental surgery, and can be used for modeling acute pancreatitis of various severity in rats. Bile acid salts are introduced into the common bile duct. Bile salts are introduced without cannulation of a large papilla of the duodenum. In simulating acute pancreatitis of moderate severity, turnstiles are placed on a common bile duct above and below the point of distal pancreatic duct flow. A 50 % bile solution with pH=6.0 in dose of 0.2 mg/kg is introduced into the common bile duct, and then a distal pancreatic duct is ligatured after 15 minutes and the turnstiles are removed. In simulating acute pancreatitis of heavy severity, two turnstiles are placed on the common bile duct above the point of distal pancreatic duct flow and below the proximal passage of the additional portion of the pancreas. A 50 % bile solution with pH=6.0 is introduced in dose of 0.2 mg/kg and after 15 minutes both pancreatic ducts of the rat are ligatured.

EFFECT: method provides higher probability of successful repeatability of reproduction results of model of acute pancreatitis of various degree of severity in rats by taking into account of obstruction of pancreatic duct system of rats and etiological criterion of development of acute pancreatitis.
