FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to surgery and may be applied for prevention of acute pancreatitis following endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Blood amylase is examined in a patient, and if the relevant value is more than 50 Un/l, the endoscopic intervention is initiated with papillotomy by means of a needle papillotome; then, a common bile duct opening is catheterized that is followed by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.
EFFECT: method enables improving reliability of prevention of acute pancreatitis.
