SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the pharmaceutical industry, in particular to a pharmaceutical composition for oral administration, containing 0.1–10 pts. wt. lobeglitazone or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt and 10–40 pts. wt. hydroxypropyl cellulose with low degree of substitution, in which content of hydroxypropoxy is from 5.0 to 16.0 wt. %. Also disclosed is a method of producing said pharmaceutical composition, according to which lobeglitazone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is mixed with a water-soluble diluent, a hydrophilic binding agent and a disintegrating agent; then by wet granulation, granules are obtained, which are then mixed with hydroxypropyl cellulose, a hydrophilic binding agent, a disintegrating agent and a lubricating agent.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides creating pharmaceutical compositions exhibiting a fast pharmacological effect by improving dissolution rate while maintaining the solubility of lobeglitazone or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts.
