SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Invention is a method for producing a tea culture (Camellia sinensis L.) comprising growing callus on a nutrient medium containing macro and micro salts, vitamins, adenine, dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), agar, at 26 °C, their transfer into a liquid nutrient medium of the same composition and exposure to L-phenylalanine in concentration of 3 mM, wherein the unfermented callus is placed in a liquid Heller's nutrient medium containing Heller macro and micro salts, White's vitamins, mesoinose – 20 mg/l, Ca-pantothenate – 0.1 mg/l, adenine – 5 mg/l, 2,4-D – 5 mg/l, glucose – 25 g/l, grown at relative air humidity of 70 %, on a shaking table at frequency of 90 rpm under dark conditions for 14 days, and water used as a solvent for L-phenylalanine. Growth of callus culture of tea in darkness by 14 days of cultivation makes 135.2 % that is its characteristic feature.
EFFECT: invention increases the amount of phenylpropanoids 4–5 times compared to the control, which is noted throughout the growth cycle.
