SUBSTANCE: invention relates to restoration of disturbed lands at open development of mineral deposits. In order to form root layer of dump surface, substratum of layer thickness of 50 cm is used, which consists of overburden rock of sand extraction from river floodplain and silt from treatment facilities for at least 5 years of storage, taken in weight ratio of 1:0.1.

EFFECT: ensuring required germinating capacity and productivity of the mixture during vegetation restoration and formation of a root layer and soil cover on the surface of the destroyed lands.
