FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary obstetrics, particularly to a device for sperm collection in reindeers in field conditions. Device is characterized by that it consists of a thermo-vessel with a foamed polysterol cover, a sterile test tube for sperm collection and a funnel made of neutral non-toxic semen material. Vessel is made in the form of thermal moker with volume of 250 ml, filled with 2/3 water with temperature of 36–38°C, and a sterile test tube for collecting semen is inserted into an opening in the thermo-vessel cover.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables preserving the biological usefulness of sperm when produced in field conditions.
