FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to material science and can be used to create articles with given properties, in particular, for making materials and devices with low, high or ultrahigh physical properties and characteristics. Beam material containing the number N≥1 (where N is an integer number) of individual single-type separate, unconnected constituent elements combined into a stack or a beam, wherein each of same-type elements has identical functional purpose and is enclosed between opposite contacts from number K≥2, and number N is calculated by formula N>F/(p∙σp,m∙s), where F is external action on sample; σp,m is value σp structurally sensitive physical characteristic or property which reacts to external action F, which determines a lower boundary of values σp, with which samples are taken to beam material or device; s is cross-section area of one component beam component; p is probability of penetration of element with level of structural-sensitive characteristic σp>σp,m, into a multi-element beam sample, determined from distribution curves of a structurally sensitive characteristic or property.
EFFECT: high resistance of material to such factors as temperature and load, acting in real conditions both separately and in combination.
